Introduction

At whatever age a learner joins St. John’s, our highly skilled staff team will undertake a process of assessment and review of their needs to ensure that the learner is best placed with us and receives an appropriately personalised programme of education, care, therapeutic and medical support. In addition they will receive high levels of pastoral support and enrichment activities to stimulate their interests and personal development.

Our collective mission is to empower every individual to develop their aspirations and opportunities for life and to prepare young people for their place in society.

Programmes are highly individualised according to need and might include; following accredited vocational and academic courses, working on a period of intensive support to re-engage a young person into education, a longer term personalised learning programme at St. John’s or a programme to prepare the reintegration of a young person into Local Authority provision,

The school campus in Seaford currently meets the needs of young people with a wide variety of special educational needs up to the age of 19.

The college currently meets the needs of learners aged 19 to 23.
