Framfield

Framfield is a large, attractive house located approximately 1 mile from the main school campus, in the seaside town of Seaford. Framfield is a ten minute walk from the beach and high street and a half hour bus ride from the many attractions and leisure facilities of Eastbourne. Seaford is surrounded by beautiful Sussex countryside and coastline with the Seven Sisters Country Park and Friston Forest a five minute drive or bus ride away.

Currently all Framfield residents attend courses at the Seaford campus and are driven there by care staff in one of our people carriers.

The house consists of 10 generously sized and furnished bedrooms, with shared bathroom facilities. The house is decorated and furnished to a high standard and offers an excellent standard of accommodation. Young people are encouraged to bring any items from home to personalise their bedrooms and to put pictures and posters up on their walls if they wish.

Framfield currently houses 6 residents who stay for different lengths of time in between home visits. Some are weekly boarders, others go home every other weekend and some stay for the whole term, going home for holidays. The staff team consists of 8 highly trained staff and a Deputy Care Manager working a variety of shifts throughout the week.

Residents are encouraged to help with all aspects of daily living including helping to cook the evening meal and doing their own laundry. Care staff are always at hand to offer appropriate levels of help and support whilst encouraging independence.

Learners have plenty of communal space for relaxing at home, including a large lounge with flat screen TV and Sky+, a games room containing various consoles, board games and arts and crafts equipment and a computer lounge with PC and internet access. There is also a good sized garden for residents to relax in and enjoy BBQs in the summer months. The beach, cliff top walks, recreational ground and skate park are all within easy walking distance.
