Child Protection Policy Statement It is the belief of St. John’s School and College, that the well being of all children and young people is given paramount consideration. All members of staff share in the responsibility for protecting children and keeping them safe from harm whilst they are attending St. John’s School and College. Children have the right to protection from neglect, physical, emotional and sexual abuse. St. John’s is committed to implementing it’s Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy, which follows the guidelines of the Pan Sussex Child Protection and Safeguarding Procedures. Protection of Vulnerable Adults Policy Statement In March 2000, the Government published ‘No Secrets’; Guidance on developing and implementing multi-agency policies and procedures to protect Vulnerable Adults from abuse. This is a national framework and the St. John’s Policy will be based on this document. Our policy follows the guidelines of the East Sussex, Brighton and Hove, Multi Agency Policy and Procedures for the Protection of Vulnerable Adults. It is a belief of St John’s College that the well being of Vulnerable Adults is given paramount consideration. All members of staff share in the responsibility for protecting these adults from abuse while attending St John’s College. Robust safeguarding procedures are in place at the school and college.
