I am writing to inform you that Anthony Carlo, the Headteacher at St. John’s School, has decided to step down from his role from Friday May 26th 2023, and will be leaving the charity to pursue other interests. I am grateful for the work he did at St. John’s College and also for his work at the School. He has brought many new ideas and projects to the charity, and we wish him well in his future career.
Angela Tempany, who is our Interim Executive Headteacher, will be taking on the role of Headteacher from Monday June 5th, 2023. Plans are in place to appoint a permanent Executive Headteacher who is likely to start on January 1st, 2024. We are making this appointment in partnership with Ambitious about Autism with whom we will be merging on September 1st, 2023.
Whilst we are all sad to be saying good-bye to Mr. Carlo, I know that the school will benefit greatly from the strong and experienced leadership which Angela Tempany will bring during 2023.
