Community Fundraising

Play a role in the work we do

If you have an idea for organising your own fundraising event for St. John’s, or would like some tried and tested suggestions as to how you might be able to support us, we’re here to help you make it a reality. Fundraising events play a vital role in the work that we do – as well as being a great day out for those taking part.

Just about any activity can be turned into a sponsored event. For example, a head shave, Christmas Day swim in the sea, three-legged race, fancy dress or bad hair day – the opportunities are endless.

The more outrageous, the more interest you will generate (and hopefully more sponsorship money). We also offer a range of challenge events for the more daring or you could try your hand at running a clothes swap, a coffee morning or a pub quiz.

If you would like to organise a fundraising event in your local community, let us know what you are planning and we can support you with help, advice and resources.

You can organise a fundraising event:

You can organise a fundraising event:

  • At school or college
  • At work
  • With your friends and family
  • In your community

All of the money you raise will help more people with complex disabilities get the support and care they need. If you would like to organise your own event for St. John’s, we’d love to hear from you! Whether it’s a pub quiz, cake sale or gala dinner, we can offer support along the way.

We can provide you with:

  • Fundraising literature and information on St. John’s School and College
  • Banners (for larger events)
  • Pens and Pads
  • Collection Tins / Buckets
  • Balloons
  • Sponsorship forms
  • An official St John’s logo you can use for your promotion
  • Lots of fundraising support
