Mindfulness is a tool that we use and teach our learners to help us to be more focused on the present moment. There are many benefits from learning to be in the moment which include:

  • Stronger focus and concentration
  • Reduced tension, anxiety and stress
  • Clearer thinking and less emotional turmoil
  • Lower blood pressure and cholesterol
  • Support in overcoming addictions and other ineffective behaviours
  • Greater creativity and enhanced performance in work and play
  • An increase in self-awareness. A better understanding of yourself and an ability to accept yourself for who you are
  • More joy, love and spontaneity
  • Greater intimacy with friends and family members

We have found that our learners are able to manage their emotions far more effectively and the consequence of this is that they are able to relate better to others, tolerate situations and environments that would previously have been challenging or overwhelming and have a better understanding of their body and senses. The same benefits could be said of the staff too.
