BE A ST. JOHN’S GOVERNOR

We are looking to expand our governing body with enthusiastic and committed individuals who can make a positive difference to the safety, welfare and development of our learners at both our school and college.

Our Full Governing body is made up of elected parents, staff, learners, Principal and co-opted governors. There are four committees, dealing with Operations and Business, the College, the School and a full Governors Committee. The full Governing Body meet three times a year. There is also two governors who attend the Trustee meetings.

As a governor you must hold an enhanced certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service which if necessary we can process for you. You are also expected to undertake relevant training required for the role.

If you are interested in joining our governors, please send an email to Dr Len Parkyn, Chair of Governors on len.parkyn@st-johns.co.uk, or write us a letter, outlining the skills and experience that you would bring to the role. We would be pleased to show you the School and College and to further discuss what the role of governor involves.
