Trusts and Foundations

St. John’s is a special educational needs school and college, based in Seaford and Brighton. We are also a UK registered charity that raises funds for the various projects, equipment and trips accessed by our children & young people.

We support, educate and care for young people, aged 7-25, who have complex learning disabilities and special needs. We currently have over 100 learners with autistic spectrum conditions, Downs Syndrome, Asperger’s Syndrome, rare diagnoses and severe communication difficulties. Many of our children, young people & adults will also have multiple diagnoses.

St. John’s many person-centered programmes cater for young people whose learning needs are often too complex for mainstream educational settings to support. We offer these young people the chance to gain independence, become part of their local community and develop the skills necessary to lead happy, fulfilled lives.

We are committed to providing high quality information to trusts and foundations including detailed proposals to fit your area of interest and regular updated reports once you have funded our work. If you feel that you are able to support us, or know of someone in the position to do so, we would love to hear from you. Our website, and our most recent signed accounts contain lots of information about our work, but you can also contact our Trust Fundraising Officer, Will Folkes, on 01273 244000 or email if you would like to talk to someone in detail.
